Beyonce’s “Mrs. Carter Show” World Tour has hit a monumental moment. It has sold over $100 million dollars in tickets sales.
No one may be surprised by this because Beyonce is known to be a major force as a touring act. However, it is important to note that Beyonce has the #1 selling tour of this year and the tour isn’t even over yet.
Beyoncé earns the No. 1 Hot Tours ranking with $44.9 million in box office grosses from her fall tour through cities in Latin America and Australia, taking the Mrs. Carter Show world tour past the $100 million mark in box office sales since launching in April. The overall gross from the ongoing tour is $104.3 million from more than 883,000 sold tickets at 59 performances, based on box office stats reported to Billboard. Kicking off on April 15 in Serbia, the tour played 23 venues in Europe and 24 in North America through the end of August before beginning tour legs in Latin America and Australia in early September.
Also notable mentions from the Roc Nation family include Jay Z at #6 and Rihanna at #2.
Rihanna takes the second slot on this week’s Hot Tours tally with sales reported from the final nine weeks of her Diamonds world tour that ended on Nov. 15. The fall tour covered cities on four continents beginning in Asia with two sellouts at the CotaiArena. Located in the Chinese territory of Macau, the 15,000-seat arena logged an attendance total of 24,872 from performances on Sept. 13 and 14. Concerts in six cities in Australia and New Zealand followed including a three-show stint in Auckland with more than 33,000 tickets sold for sellouts on Oct. 6-8
Beyonce’s reign isn’t over yet either. The “Diva” singer returns to North America next month.
