Jim Jones is in hot water with the law.  The rapper was arrested in Fair Lawn, New Jersey after a confrontation with a police officer over an outstanding warrant.

According to the “Fair Lawn-Saddle Brook Patch,” police Sergeant James Corcoran was responding to a complaint of an illegally parked car in front of Jones’ home when Jones came outside and asked what the problem was.  Corcoran then cross-checked Jones’ name on a police database, which showed he had two outstanding warrants – one for a motor violation and the other for failing to shovel snow from his sidewalk.

Corcoran asked Jones to settle the matter at the police station.  That’s when Jones denied the warrants and allegedly became unruly.  He was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice for refusing to peacefuly settle the warrants.

Police Lieutenant Derek Bastinck says if people agree with the warrants they allow the offender to “come down and pay what they owe.”  However, if they don’t agree, then “they’re placed under arrest.”
