Kyle Erby’s love of music started at an early age playing his mother’s extensive record collection and introducing the songs while she cleaned the house. He got his first DJ job in 9th grade spinning tunes at his school dance. Kyle later earned his Broadcast Journalism degree from Southern University and went on to intern at the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. After being told by Jay Leno that he should try stand-up, Kyle left the Tonight Show to pursue his own career. Since leaving the show, Kyle has headlined all across the United States and returned to the Tonight Show to act in several sketches. He’s also sold monologue material to his old Tonight Show boss. Several years after working for Jay Leno, Kyle met Sheryl Underwood at the Improv in Hollywood. Sheryl invited Kyle Erby and 5 other comedians to be guests on her Foxxhole radio show. After the show she told them all they could come back the following week. Kyle was the only one to show up. He came back every week and eventually, he not only became a paid cohost, but he became the opening act for Sheryl Underwood on her national stand-up tour. Kyle has appeared in various movies including “House Party 4,” and the HBO film “Tempted” starring Burt Reynolds. He’s done commercials for Pennzoil, Pepsi, Chinet paper plates, Pringles, Sponge Bob, Wal Mart, Radio Shack with Howie Long and Terry Bradshaw, Miller Lite, and a Bud Light ad with Carlos Mencia that was shown during the “Super Bowl.” Most recently, Kyle shot a relationship talk show pilot Executive produced by comedy legend Chris Rock.
